- Which web browser do you use?
- How do you launch your web browser?
- How do you change the size of the text on a web page?

- If you have a problem with your browser, what would you do?
- What is a home page?
- What browser feature do you find most useful?
Activities
- Demonstrate what the buttons on the browser toolbar do. Show students that they can access the same features and many others under the various menus choices.
Discussion Guide
- Which web browser do you use?
Help students to identify their web browser software if they’re unsure.
- How do you launch your web browser?
Discuss different ways of opening their web browser, such as clicking on a desktop icon or link in an email, or choosing it from the Windows Start menu.
- How do you change the size of the text on a web page?
Discuss various ways of changing text size, including selecting from the browser menu, using keyboard shortcuts, or using gestures on touchscreens.
- How can you tell if your browser is working?
Discuss possible problems that may occur while browsing the web.
- If you have a problem with your browser, what would you do?
Answers might include asking a friend for help, searching for help online, using another browser, etc.
- What is a home page?
Ask your students what home page they’re using, and whether or not they have ever changed it.
- What browser feature do you find most useful?
Discuss various features such as the back or reload button, status bar, or browser history, and which ones your students find most useful and why.
