Bookmark
Bookmarks (sometimes called Favorites) are a feature of web browsers that save web addresses so you can return to them quickly, without having to retype them.
With hundreds of millions of websites and more coming online daily, it’s impossible to remember the address for every site you visit. Even when our browsers suggest sites as we type, the site you’re looking for may not get listed, particularly if you haven’t been there in a while. Bookmarks not only let you mark your favorite or most important sites; they also allow you to organize them into meaningful categories. Do you have sites you only visit for work? You can create a work folder. A new dinner dish you can’t wait to try? Create a recipes folder.
You can bookmark any site you go to often or just don’t want to forget. Just one click saves the site to your browser, so you can get back there at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create bookmarks?
Whether you are using Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Chrome or another browser, the procedure is similar. Navigate to the site you want to bookmark, look for the bookmark symbol in your toolbar. It may look like a star or an old-fashioned bookmark, depending on your browser. Click the symbol and select the location you want to save the bookmark to. In some cases, you may need to use the bookmark or favorites menu and select the “Bookmark this Page” option, or something similar. Once you have created the bookmark, it should now appear in your bookmark menu.
If you are using the same browser on multiple devices, there is usually a way to share bookmarks between those devices. For examples, Mozilla Firefox offers a Sync feature, which allows you to share bookmarks, saved passwords, and site history on all of your devices. With this feature, if you find a great site on your tablet, bookmark it. The next time you pull up Firefox on your desktop, the site should be in your bookmarks there too. Chrome and Safari both offer similar sync features.
Can I make bookmarks more prominent?
Many desktop browsers include a bookmark toolbar feature. When enabled, bookmarks you place there will be displayed at the top of your browser window in a special toolbar. This is ideal for bookmarks you visit every day and don’t want to search through your bookmark menu for.
Can I rearrange my bookmarks?
Most desktop browsers allow you to drag bookmarks from one folder to another, or from a folder to your bookmark toolbar. Using the Show All Bookmarks feature, you can view a complete list of your bookmarks and manage them in much the same way you manage your computer files using My Computer. You can select multiple bookmarks and drag them together, or move entire folders.
Mobile browsers tend to be more restrictive, and may not allow you to arrange your bookmarks at all. If they do not, you may be able to adjust them using your desktop or laptop, so long as you have sync enabled.
